1. Video competition, school year 2008/09Schools from CONNECT partner countries were invited to design and demonstrate their own part of the ECO-TRIP campaign to stimulate eco-friendly trips in their direct environment, focusing mainly on trips from and to school. The ECO-TRIP short movies 2008-2009 are now available for all to watch!
The short movies are only a start obviously, the actual ECO-TRIP week is at least as important: during at least one week all the schools and thousands of young people will travel to and from school in an eco-friendly way.

Jury report: “Smoke brings a surprising and shocking message. The makers set the viewer on the wrong track: you wonder if they understood the call to have a short movie on the theme of sustainable mobility. The atmosphere is difficult to grasp. Who prematurely drops out of viewing will most likely not like it at all. But the venom sits in the tail: it appears that the makers did fully and thoroughly worked within the topic and that they have placed it in the larger theme of climate change without losing the relation with mobility in itself. The punch line expresses maturity and a vision. The makers succeed in delivering a hard yet original message to a larger public. The jury recognized a tough to the short movie worthy of professionals. What begins with carefree celebrations ends with a hard 'in your face' significance. In order to take a moment to ‘stand still’ on mobility, this one stands it ground.”
